The main tool on YouTubeThumb.com runs in your browser. It lets you download YouTube video thumbnails in HD, HQ, SD and default sizes in this tab, with no upload and no login. The link or video ID you paste is used for the current request and is not uploaded to youtubethumb.com for the core job.

What the tool does not send

The downloader does not send YouTubeThumb.com:

  • The YouTube URL or video ID, beyond using it in this browser to request images from YouTube’s public thumbnail servers
  • The downloaded JPG
  • A user account

Refresh or close the tab to clear page memory. Downloads stay in the folder your browser uses.

Theme preference

Light or dark theme may be stored in LocalStorage. It is not tied to the video link. Clear site data to remove it.

Hosting logs

The site is a static site on Cloudflare Pages. Ordinary logs may include IP, path, user agent, timestamps, and security events. Those logs deliver HTML and scripts. They are not a copy of the YouTube link you pasted.

Feedback form

The header Feedback button sends the text you type to a self-hosted Feedback Hub on Cloudflare Workers (feedback-hub.pvb-259.workers.dev). Typical fields: type (bug, idea, question, thanks, other), message, email, page URL, language, and basic diagnostic context. Email notifications go through the configured Cloudflare email service.

The tool does not attach the YouTube link or the thumbnail file. Do not paste passwords, ID numbers, or private documents.

Email

If you write to contact@youtubethumb.com, we receive whatever you put in that email. Treat email as a mailbox, not a vault.

Analytics

On the production site, PageView records page-view traffic using this site’s domain, the current URL, and the referrer when available. It does not receive the YouTube link you paste into the tool.

If a Microsoft Clarity project ID is installed, Clarity loads after the page load event (idle, with a short fallback) and may analyze rendering and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement. Cookie behavior depends on region, project settings, and consent.

Cloudflare may also collect Web Analytics if Insights is on for the zone.

Local astro dev / preview does not load these scripts. They appear in the production build only.

Ko-fi

The feedback modal may link to ko-fi.com/dylan199. Opening that link is optional and uses Ko-fi’s own policy.

Retention

  • Tool input: until you clear it or close the tab.
  • Theme: until you clear site data.
  • Hosting logs: the host’s normal operations.
  • Feedback and email: long enough to understand the report.
  • Analytics: each provider’s retention. They should not include the YouTube link you pasted.
